This piece is 18x24, done completely in charcoal. Approx 30-40 hours total worktime. I really enjoyed doing this, it's one of my best portraits to date. Also.. it reminds me a lot of my late grandfather.. and that's a nice, personal thought for me.

this is just amazing.
makes me ashamed of myself wasting so much time in recent years.
i should have been doing some charcoal and/or graphite work.

Took me forever to do..but yeah. I look at this drawing and think the same thing all the time.

"Why am I not doing more stuff like this? What am I doing with my life???"

I'm working on fixing that... getting over a 2 week sickness so hopefully my motivation will come back soon!
